Programs we use

  • The Lidcombe Program is a behavioural treatment, which targets children's stuttered speech.

  • This approach helps to improve children’s vocabulary, reading and writing.

    Sounds Write program teaches that letters or combinations of letters are the ways in which we represent those sounds when we write.

  • We apply a program based on communication that uses hand signs to represent the main or key words in a sentence at the same time as the words are spoken.

    Otherwise known as manual signing.

  • We apply the HANEN program for early childhood language & literacy development, language delays & Autism.

  • We use assistive technology for children with complex communication needs.

    This provides children a system of core vocabulary in a sensory-rich activity whilst providing models using a consistent motor pattern.

    There are many types of stuttering and include repeating words or getting stuck on a particular word.

  • We help to improve children’s communication, verbal and non-verbal skills, relationship building abilities to help them engage with others more effectively. E.g. conversational skills.

  • Our Speech therapists help to improve children’s ability to express themselves and understand what others say.

    We help tp improve children that have issues with:

    • Difficulty following instructions

    • Difficulty engaging and participating in conversations.

    • Using correct grammar or punctuation.

    • Difficulty creating sentences when speaking and writing.
