Our Speech Pathologists have undergone extensive training and are qualified in the following treating techniques / programs:
-
The Lidcombe Program is a behavioural treatment, which targets children's stuttered speech.
-
This approach helps to improve children’s vocabulary, reading and writing.
Sounds Write program teaches that letters or combinations of letters are the ways in which we represent those sounds when we write.
-
We apply a program based on communication that uses hand signs to represent the main or key words in a sentence at the same time as the words are spoken.
Otherwise known as manual signing.
-
We apply the HANEN program for early childhood language & literacy development, language delays & Autism.
-
We use assistive technology for children with complex communication needs.
This provides children a system of core vocabulary in a sensory-rich activity whilst providing models using a consistent motor pattern.
